New Beginnings International Ministries Church Core Beliefs

Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of  God and the final authority for our faith, belief, and Christian living. The Scriptures reveal God's truth, His plan of salvation, and His purpose for His people.

2 Timothy 3:16- 17; Psalms 119:105; Hebrews 4: 12

God

We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Person: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is Creator and Sustainer of all things, holy, sovereign, loving, just, and worthy of all worship.

Genesis 1:1; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:4

Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God. He was born a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, was bodily raised from the dead, ascended into heaven, and will return again.

John 1:1 - 14; John 3:16; 1 Corinthians 15:3 - 4; Acts 1:9-11

The Holy Spirit

We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God and actively works in the lives of believers. He convicts of sin, leads people to Christ, dwells within believers, teaches, comforts, empowers, sanctifies, and equips God's people with spiritual gifts for ministry and service.

John 14:16-17; John 16:7 - 13; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 12:4 - 11

Humanity

We believe humanity that Adam was divinely created in the image of God

  • That by the sin of disobedience he fell from that state
  • That all his posterity inherited spiritual depravity and defilement
  • That all men therefore are guilty before God and condemned to physical and spiritual death

Salvation

We believe is God's gift of grace and cannot be earned through human works. Salvation is received through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again.

Those who place their faith in Christ are forgiven, reconciled to God, and given new life in Him.

John 3:16; Romans 10: 9 - 10; Ephesians 2:8 - 9; 2 Corinthians 5:17

The Church

We believe is God's gift of grace and cannot be earned through human works. Salvation is received through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again.

Those who place their faith in Christ are forgiven, reconciled to God, and given new life in Him.

John 3:16; Romans 10: 9 - 10; Ephesians 2:8 - 9; 2 Corinthians 5:17

Christian Living

We believe is God's gift of grace and cannot be earned through human works. Salvation is received through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again.

Those who place their faith in Christ are forgiven, reconciled to God, and given new life in Him.

John 3:16; Romans 10: 9 - 10; Ephesians 2:8 - 9; 2 Corinthians 5:17

Baptism & Communion

We believe water baptism and the Lord's Supper (Communion) were given to the Church by Jesus Christ. Baptism publicly identifies the believer with Christ, and Communion remembers and proclaims the sacrificial death of Jesus Christ until He comes again.

Matthew 28:19; Romans 6: 3 - 4; 1 Corinthians 11:23 - 26

The Return of Christ and eternal Life

We believe Jesus Christ will return, the dead will be raised, and every person will stand before God. Those who belong to Christ have the promise of eternal life with Him.

John 14:1 - 3; Acts 1: 11; Thessalonians 4:16 - 17; Revelations 21:1 -4

These beliefs shape who we are, how we worship, how we serve, and how we seek to live as followers of Jesus Christ.
